Spencer Carver

A tutor who loves to learn and make an impact on his students, Spencer holds a BS in neuroscience from Florida State University and is pursuing his MD at Miller College of Medicine. Spencer started tutoring in 2018 when he was in college and worked as a teaching assistant for his biology and chemistry courses. Over the years, Spencer has taught math at the elementary level up to calculus and science at the high school and college levels, including biology, anatomy, and physics. 

 

As a student, Spencer practiced Jiu-Jitsu and played soccer. He was on the honor roll in college and worked in the Alzheimer's research lab at the Florida State College of Medicine, where he helped publish scientific research. He enjoys golfing and going to the beach and he’s currently pursuing a pilot's license. “I have a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu,” Spencer shares."
