Algebra 1

Algebra 1 provides students with the essential mathematical foundation needed for success in higher-level mathematics and many STEM disciplines. Throughout this course, students develop confidence in solving equations, simplifying expressions, graphing linear functions, and analyzing relationships between variables. Emphasis is placed on understanding mathematical concepts rather than simply memorizing procedures, allowing students to build strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Students will explore topics including operations with real numbers, linear equations and inequalities, systems of equations, exponents, polynomials, factoring, quadratic functions, and introductory statistics. Through guided practice, real-world applications, and collaborative problem-solving, learners will strengthen their ability to interpret mathematical models and communicate their reasoning clearly. By the end of the course, students will be well prepared for Geometry, Algebra 2, and other advanced mathematics courses.
