About the course
This engaging high school-level Biology course will introduce students to the basic principles that govern life organisms and the world. Through this course, students will learn about the scientific method, cell biology, genetics, evolution, classification of life, ecology, and basic human body systems. This course is structured in 2 15 week semesters. This course is useful in promoting scientific literacy in students by promoting curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry. Through it, students will learn how life organisms function from the molecular level of DNA to the highest level of ecosystems.
No background knowledge is needed to begin this course. This course includes various activities to help students apply scientific concepts to real-world questions. Through it, students will learn to answer questions like how do life organisms function?
