About the course

This high school Geometry course develops students' understanding of the relationships between points, lines, angles, shapes, and space through logical reasoning, visualization, and problem-solving. Students explore the properties of geometric figures, including triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles, and three-dimensional solids, while learning to apply geometric concepts to real-world situations. The course emphasizes mathematical communication, precision, and the use of deductive and inductive reasoning to construct and justify geometric proofs.

Throughout the course, students investigate congruence, similarity, transformations, coordinate geometry, right triangle trigonometry, area, surface area, and volume. They use geometric tools, technology, and algebraic reasoning to analyze figures, solve complex problems, and model practical applications. By the end of the course, students will have developed the critical thinking and analytical skills needed for advanced mathematics and STEM-related fields.
