About the course
Latin Level 1 introduces students to the foundations of the Latin language and the rich culture of the ancient Roman world. In this beginner-level course, students will learn essential vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and sentence structure while developing reading, writing, listening, and translation skills. Through engaging activities, stories, and interactive practice, students will begin to understand how Latin works and how it connects to many modern languages, especially English.
In addition to language study, students will explore Roman mythology, daily life, history, and traditions to gain a deeper appreciation for the influence of ancient Rome on the modern world. Students will discover how Latin roots appear in science, law, medicine, literature, and everyday vocabulary, helping strengthen overall language and critical thinking skills.
