About the course

This AP Pre-Calculus course prepares students for the rigor of college-level mathematics through an in-depth exploration of functions, modeling, trigonometry, and mathematical reasoning. Designed to align with the expectations of the College Board’s AP Precalculus curriculum, the course emphasizes conceptual understanding alongside problem-solving strategies and real-world applications. Students will study polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions while developing fluency in graphical, numerical, analytical, and verbal representations of mathematics.

Throughout the course, students will strengthen their ability to communicate mathematical ideas clearly and apply critical thinking to complex problems. Lessons incorporate technology, collaborative discussion, and AP-style practice questions to help students build confidence and prepare for the AP exam. Special attention is given to mathematical modeling and interpreting data in context, encouraging students to see mathematics as a powerful tool for understanding patterns and relationships in the world around them.

By the end of the course, students will be well…
