Malak Abdein

Hi, I’m Malak! With several years of dedicated tutoring experience, I specialize in helping students conquer challenging subjects and build lasting academic confidence. I hold a degree in Sociology with a concentration in Health and Society from UNC Chapel Hill, and I am currently in the final year of my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. My background bridging rigorous clinical sciences with the study of human behavior allows me to deeply understand my students and adapt to their unique learning needs.

My teaching philosophy is simple: no subject is impossible to learn when approached the right way. I prefer taking dense, overwhelming information and breaking it down into manageable, bite-sized pieces. We build a strong foundational understanding first, and then stack complex concepts on top of it.

To ensure the material actually sticks, I enjoy using real-world applications and relatable examples. By connecting abstract academic concepts to everyday life, I help students realize that the material isn't foreign - it's just a new way of explaining the world they already know. Whether you are navigating your first high school or middle school science class, or preparing for rigorous honors, AP and IB exams, my goal is to make the learning process intuitive, engaging, and highly effective.
